Follow-up appointment is included in the package as long as the appointment is within 30 days after establishment.
If your follow-up appointment is not booked within 3-4 weeks or if the client reschedules the follow-up after 4 weeks the free retightening is forfeited.
We recommend that you schedule your first few retightening visits at 4 week intervals. This way the progress of your locs can be monitored. As your locs mature, your Consultant will be able to determine how often you will need to come in for retightenings on a regular basis. The average time between visits is 4-6 weeks.

Sisterlocks is a natural hair management system that allows people with tightly-textured hair to take advantage of wide range of today’s hairstyles without having to alter the natural texture of your hair nor add extensions.
The cost of Sisterlocks vary on the length, density and sometimes texture of your hair. The initial cost of Sisterlocks can seem expensive due to the love and time it takes for them to be established. However the regular maintenance can be less expensive compared to other hair care practices.
The time it takes to establish also varies depending on the length and density of hair. However it normally takes 2 days to establish Sisterlock
Yes, although the transition will take more time, your hair care professional who is trained in SisterlocksTM techniques can help you make that transition. Your styling options will increase as your natural texture grows out.
Adding extensions to Sisterlocks is not recommended and it is not condoned by the home office. If extensions are added to your Sisterlocks you may risk the integrity of your Sisterlocks. Although easier said than done, please embrace "your" journey and watch your hair grow beyond your expectations.
Of course! Sisterlocks offer so much versatility. You can style your hair in braids, twists, updos, ponytails, curls, and even do nothing at all.
It's recommended that a Sisterlocks Consultant or Trainee that has taken the official training class and currently listed on the Sisterlocks website provide you with Sisterlocks. Unfortunately there are people out here claiming that they "know" how to do Sisterlocks without ever taken the training and taking advantage of people. So please do your research.
Once your Sisterlocks are 6 months and have settled you have the opportunity of taking the retightening class. It's recommended that you take the official Sisterlocks Self Retightening class by an R-Certified Consultant or the Sisterlocks Office to keep the integrity of your Sisterlocks.
There are a lot of factors that can cause your hair to break or thin but it's not the Sisterlocks themselves. It depends on your consultant/trainee retightening your hair properly and not too tight. It also depends on the client keeping up with the appropriate retightening schedule. Also keep in mind certain medications, health conditions, and genetics can be a factor, as well as deficiencies in supplements, vitamins, protein, or iron, etc.
It's recommended that you wait until your Sisterlocks have settled/matured before coloring your hair. Due to the chemical process that takes place during color you want to make sure your Sisterlocks are mature so that you can proceed with the necessary treatments to take care of your colored Sisterlocks. Please note that coloring your Sisterlocks can alter your hair texture.
You should retighten your Sisterlocks every 4-6 weeks. I don't recommend going past 8 weeks. It's important to remain on a consistent schedule to keep the health and integrity of your Sisterlocks.
There is no set date on when your Sisterlocks will mature however it really depends on what you do and don't do as far as taking care of your Sisterlocks. Also length, and texture are factors of when your Sisterlocks will mature.
No. Sisterlocks can be taken down, however it is a very tedious process. Not to mention the time and money that is vested in starting your journey will be wasted. You do not want to start this journey with the intention of taking your Sisterlocks out. Think of Sisterlocks being a lifestyle.
